Buffalo Bills route to the Super Bowl: AFC Championship vs. Kansas City Chiefs

This is where things get the most interesting, because the Kansas City Chiefs earned the number one seed only due to the Bengals and Bills game being cancelled. Additionally, this game will be played at a neutral site, so the Bills won’t have any chance of deja vu from last year’s playoffs.

Although Patrick Mahomes is clearly the best quarterback in football right now, this is the game Buffalo is out to prove who the real number one seed is in the AFC.

Earlier in the season, these two teams faced off and Buffalo won by a score of 24-20 in a close matchup. The Bills were able to pick off Mahomes twice in that game, which ultimately was the big difference. Mahomes still threw for over 300 yards and multiple scores. Josh Allen threw for over 300 yards and multiple scores.

But, it was Buffalo’s defense that made the biggest impact.

Now, this matchup will be different on defense for Buffalo, who will be without the biggest difference maker in that first game. Von Miller came up with two big sacks on Mahomes that day, and the Bills of course have been without him for weeks now.

If the Bills are going to win this one, they’ll need somebody to step up and get to Mahomes. That is priority number one for the Bills defense. If they can make Mahomes uncomfortable, they’ll have a shot.

Score Prediction: Bills 28 Chiefs 24
