5 Buffalo Bills to watch in Week 12 against the Detroit Lions
DaQuan Jones
If Shaq Lawson and the Bills’ defensive ends are able to keep Jamaal Williams in the middle of the field, it will be up to DaQuan Jones to be a part of limiting the Lions’ running back impact. The Bills’ starting defensive tackle is coming off a great game against the Cleveland Browns where he was able to help limit Nick Chubb to under 20 rushing yards and an average of under 1.5 yards per carry.
Outside of the games against the Green Bay Packers and New York Jets, the Buffalo Bills run defense has been much improved this season. One of those reasons has been DaQuan Jones, who was signed as a free agent this offseason.
The Detroit Lions have a very good offensive line and it is one of the reasons that Jamaal Williams is having the season he is. However, if Jones can clog running lanes in the middle of the field it is going to take out a big part of the Lions’ offense that will make it tough to move the ball.
