Another player who seized an opportunity due to injuries was defensive end A.J. Epenesa. He got a chance to start against the Vikings with Greg Rousseau out with an ankle injury for the game.

Epenesa made an impact right away with a batted pass on the first play of the game for the defense. He would finish the game playing 60% of the defensive snaps and had three total tackles, one sack, and two passes defended.

A.J. Epenesa has been very inconsistent to start his career and has shown flashes of why the Buffalo Bills drafted him in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. In Week 1 against the Rams, Epenesa had 1.5 sacks but then had only one sack over the next seven games.

This week against the Vikings was another one of those games where he looks like a player who can make an impact for this defense. The question is can he now stack some of these games in a row and be a bigger part of the rotation?
