It is well documented at this point that the Buffalo Bills have not gotten much from their run game outside of Josh Allen. Devin Singletary, who is essentially the lead running back, has had only three games all season with double-digit carries and has had only two games with more than 50 rushing yards.

The lack of a run game hasn’t really been an issue because the Buffalo Bills have had Josh Allen who has been basically able to do it all. However, the coaching staff will either look to limit his hits this week if he is on the field or find a way to replace that production if he isn’t able to play.

One area in particular that Devin Singletary could see a much bigger role is on third down. So far this season, he has had only three rushing attempts on third down and picked up only two yards. He also has struggled in situations where the Bills need between 1-3 yards for a first down as he has had 13 rush attempts but only five first downs.

This doesn’t entirely fall on Singletary as he will need help with blocking up front but if Devin Singletary is more effective, it will keep the offense on track.
