Josh Thomas

Josh Thomas was with the Buffalo Bills the past two years after the team signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He would primarily be on the practice squad during those two years but did play in two games in 2020 and had a tackle.

The Bills had brought back Thomas again this offseason and he was with the team through training camp and preseason before being cut in one of the final rounds of roster cuts with the Buffalo Bills trying to get down to 53 players.

However, unlike the other players on this list, Thomas is not a free agent. After he was released by the Bills, he signed with the Arizona Cardinals as part of their practice squad. As long as the Cardinals don’t protect Thomas, the Buffalo Bills could sign him off their practice squad and to their active roster.

This is a move that would make a lot of sense as Thomas knows this defense and could be a quality depth player that can contribute on special teams.
