Gabe Davis has more receiving yards than Stefon Diggs
One player who should benefit from Josh Allen throwing it a lot this week is third-year wide receiver Gabe Davis. The former third round pick had a great finish to last season and enters this year as the clear number two wide receiver behind Stefon Diggs.
This week, however, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Davis be the primary receiver considering that Stefon Diggs will be covered by Jalen Ramsey. While Diggs won’t be completely out of the game plan, he likely won’t see the high volume of targets that he typically does on a weekly basis.
In Gabe Davis’ career, he has only three games, including playoffs, where he has surpassed 100 receiving yards. This includes the 201-yard receiving game he had against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Divisional Round last year.
In this week’s game, Davis likely should draw coverage from Troy Hill and this should be a matchup he can win. It would not be surprising to see Davis add another game to his career games over 100 receiving yards and be the leading receiver for the Buffalo Bills.
