Buffalo Bills will host the AFC Championship Game

It’s been a long time since there was an AFC Championship Game in Orchard Park, NY. In fact, the last time Buffalo hosted the Conference Championship was 28 long years ago.

The wait is over. This season, the Bills have everything it needs to play for a shot at appearing in the Super Bowl. It’s going to start with obtaining home-field advantage through its regular season performance, which will lead to home games in January.

It’s no secret that the conference has improved due to new arrivals at the quarterback position. With Russell Wilson signing with the Denver Broncos, the AFC West became one of the toughest divisions in football. All four quarterbacks in the West are capable, which should result in a competitive division.

The AFC North saw a similar shakeup. With the return of Lamar Jackson from injury, the emergence of Joe Burrow, and the addition of Deshaun Watson, the North division is expected to experience parity too.

The AFC East isn’t nearly as rugged as the other divisions. And while the other teams in the conference beat each other up, the Bills could easily find themselves earning the number one seed, and with a win in the Divisional Round, hosting the AFC Championship Game.
