Most of the depth chart is set at wide receiver and the final spot likely comes down to Isaiah Hodgins and Jake Kumerow. It remains to be seen who the Bills are leaning towards but in terms of trade value, Hodgins is the one that probably would generate more interest.

Hodgins was a sixth round draft pick in 2020 by the Buffalo Bills but it wasn’t really until this summer that he started to make an impact. He looked great in training camp and continued that strong play into the preseason with 16 receptions and 124 receiving yards over those three games.

The challenge for the Bills is that they may not have a spot on the 53-man roster if they want to have Jake Kumerow on the roster due to his special teams’ contributions. However, it seems unlikely based on how Hodgins played in the preseason that he would clear waivers and give Buffalo the chance to bring him back as part of their practice squad.

When considering that, it might make more sense to try and trade Isaiah Hodgins in hopes of getting something in return instead of losing him for nothing.
