Zack Moss

Zack Moss and the Buffalo Bills would love to put the season the running back had last year behind him. It was a struggle and the former third round pick did not play up to the level he did as a rookie.

This game against the Indianapolis Colts was a great step forward in that regard as he looked almost like a completely different running back. He finished the game with three rushing attempts for 37 yards and two receptions for five yards.

The big play for Moss was a 27-yard run where he took the handoff to the right but ran right into his offensive linemen. He was able to stop, change direction to the left and pick up 27 yards with good burst and speed.

He also showed good power with his runs and was usually running through tackles and not going down on first contact. Devin Singletary and James Cook are locks to be a part of this backfield but neither brings much power to the position.

If Moss continues to play the way he did against the Colts, he could carve out a role in this offense as that short-yardage or goal line back.
