What will the addition of Von Miller do for Gregory Rousseau and Boogie Basham?

The Buffalo Bills used heavy draft capital to bolster their pass rush in 2021, using their top two draft choices on edge rushers Gregory Rousseau and Boogie Basham. Rousseau started fast but burned out towards the end of the season. Basham struggled to even get on the field early in the year before starting to make a minor impact down the stretch.

Instead of risking it in the draft again in 2022, Brandon Beane signed Von Miller, a two-time Super Bowl champion and one of the best edge rushers of his generation. Von should make Greg and Boogie’s job easier with the attention he creates on the field.

As he starts reaching the end of his career, it is clear that Von Miller wants to pass his wisdom on to the next generation as he hosted his third annual Von Miller pass rush summit in Las Vegas this summer.

Rousseau and Basham have plenty of raw tools and now have one of the best teachers teaching them how to use their tools. These young edge rushers taking a step forward is a must if the Bills want to make it out of the AFC in 2022.
