A common theme for the quarterbacks in the AFC East is that this upcoming season will be a big test in terms of them taking that next step in their careers. For Tua Tagovailoa, entering his third season in the league, this is really shaping up to be a make or break year in Miami.

Last year, was another underwhelming year for Tagovailoa who had only 2,653 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 13 games. However, the Dolphins were aggressive this offseason by bolstering the offensive line with Terron Armstead at tackle and Connor Williams at guard.

They also brought in Chase Edmonds to help the run game but the biggest move was trading for Tyreek Hill. The combination of Hill and last year’s first round pick, Jaylen Waddle, give Miami one of the fastest duos in the league at wide receiver and the hope is this improves their passing game.

Among the rankings of the AFC East, this was the toughest spot to rank and the difference between Mac Jones and Tua Tagovailoa is not that significant. Both players do a good job protecting the football but neither player has really shown they can take over games similar to how Josh Allen has in the past.
