Predicting the Buffalo Bills depth chart on offense after free agency
Quarterback
Starter: Josh Allen
Backups: Case Keenum, Matt Barkley
The quarterback depth chart is pretty straight forward and probably is unlikely to change between now and the start of the regular season. The Buffalo Bills traded for Case Keenum to be the primary backup and he has shown he does a good job in this role and can step in at a moment’s notice and keep the offense on track.
The Buffalo Bills also brought back Matt Barkley, who was the primary backup for two seasons before the Bills elected to sign Mitchell Trubisky to serve in that role last year. The return of Matt Barkley likely was to replace Davis Webb, who signed with the New York Giants this offseason.
Barkley is a player that probably spends the season on the practice squad with Bills keeping two quarterbacks on the 53-man roster and his value will be more to help Josh Allen on the sidelines and in the position room.
