Buffalo Bills 5-Round 2022 Mock Draft after one week of free agency
Round 4, Pick 130: Tyler Badie, RB Missouri
The Buffalo Bills thought they had the complementary running back to Devin Singletary when they agreed to terms with J.D. McKissic. However, the former Washington running back decided he didn’t want to leave and returned to Washington on a two-year deal.
While the Bills didn’t get the running back they wanted, it does point to what they are looking for at the position. The fact that they tried to sign a running back who almost exclusively is a receiver is an indication that they believe Devin Singletary can be the featured running back and handle a majority of the work on the ground.
In the fourth round, the Bills find the running back to compliment Singletary with Tyler Badie out of Missouri. In four seasons, Badie had 126 receptions, 1,149 receiving yards, and 11 receiving touchdowns.
While the receiving work is why I believe he is a good fit, his ability to carry the ball should not be overlooked. This past season, Badie had 268 rushing attempts and 1,604 rushing yards with 14 touchdowns.
