4 free agent tight ends the Buffalo Bills could target this offseason

Buffalo Bills Free Agent Target: Hayden Hurst
If the Buffalo Bills want more of a long-term answer at the position, tight end Hayden Hurst could be a tight end that makes sense. Hurst was a first round pick by the Baltimore Ravens and after two seasons in Baltimore, he was traded to the Atlanta Falcons prior to the 2020 season.
In 2020, he had a career year with the Falcons with 56 receptions, 571 receiving yards, and six touchdowns. However, Atlanta would draft Kyle Pitts fourth overall last year and Hurst moved down the depth chart as the number two tight end.
Even with Pitts stepping in as the top tight end, head coach Arthur Smith has an offense that utilizes a lot of two-tight end sets and Hurst played 50% of the offensive snaps last year. Hurst did a good job in this role and could be the perfect free agent to sign with his experience, age, and the Buffalo Bills likely being able to sign him on a modest contract.
