7 quick thoughts from the Buffalo Bills victory over the New Orleans Saints
Tre’Davious White’s injury is a concern for this secondary
While there was plenty to like from the Buffalo Bills’ dominant win, they potentially could have suffered a big loss in Week 12. In the second quarter, former Pro Bowl cornerback Tre’Davious White left with a knee injury and was not able to return.
The severity of the injury is unknown but if he is going to miss any time, it drastically changes what this defense can do. Tre’Davious White is one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL and is a big reason for this secondary being one of the best in the league.
If Tre’Davious White is out for an extended period of time, it would not be surprising to see the Bills look at some potential veteran options for depth or compete with Dane Jackson for the starting job.
Matt Breida is the best running back the Buffalo Bills have
In the first quarter, the Buffalo Bills looked like they were going to commit to the run and commit to Matt Breida. The veteran running back looked to be running well and had seven carries for 24 yards in the first quarter.
However, Breida seemingly gave up the role to Devin Singletary in the second and third quarter. The veteran got a chance to once again show what he can do midway through the fourth and took a screen pass of 23 yards for a touchdown.
Over the past three games, Matt Breida has been productive with limited work and while he got more against the New Orleans Saints there are still opportunities that are missed with Breida not playing more.
