Buffalo Bills: 3 players under the most pressure after the bye week
A.J. Epenesa
The season got off to a great start for second-year pass rusher A.J. Epenesa as he was a key part of the defensive rotation by playing 30% or more of the defensive snaps in each of the first five games. He also was getting pressure on the opposing quarterback with five QB hits but wasn’t registering sacks.
However in the game right before the bye against the Tennessee Titans, Epenesa was a healthy scratch and inactive for that game. It remains to be seen exactly why Epenesa was inactive but Sean McDermott did say they wanted to get a look at some other guys, as Heather Prusak tweeted after the game.
Based on this, Epenesa should be back in the rotation this week against the Dolphins and play a team that he had his best game of the season back in Week 2 when he had two QB hits. This should give him a chance to make his case why he should remain in the rotation moving forward.
