Josh Allen

This is not as much about Josh Allen’s overall play as you think. Overall, Allen has been very good this year. The reason Allen is on this list is because of the struggles he has had in the red zone this season. All the way up to the 20-yard line Allen has been fantastic this season. But as shown against the Houston Texans this past week Allen and the Bills’ offense begin to sputter when they get closer to the end zone.

This season Buffalo is 12 of 21 (57%) on scoring touchdowns when they reach the red zone this season. That registers them 22nd in the league. While this does not completely rest on Allen’s shoulders he is now an MVP level quarterback who was given one of the biggest contracts ever this offseason so it really should.

Allen has been a stud this season so far but to beat the Chiefs, Allen has to turn these drives that are ending in field goals into touchdowns. Allen needs to use his entire skillset to help Buffalo convert these red zone trips into six points.

The Buffalo Bills quarterback has so many weapons on the offense now that scoring in the red zone will fall on his shoulders. Allen needs to make more plays in the red zone against the Chiefs and going forward if Buffalo expects to be the Super Bowl contenders that everyone expects them to be.

Only scoring on 57% of your red zone trips is a huge problem for Buffalo and if Allen cannot start making plays in the red zone, Buffalo will not be able to keep up with elite offenses across the NFL.

Grades for the Buffalo Bills in Week 4. light. Must Read

The Chiefs have one of the most elite offenses in the league and if Buffalo is not able to capitalize on their trips to the Red Zone there will be immense pressure on the defense all game to stop historically one of the best offenses ever.
