Cornerback

The final position is somewhat a combination of concerns from the first two positions as the Buffalo Bills do have that star at the position in Tre’Davious White but haven’t named a starter opposite White. All indications are that it will be Levi Wallace but Sean McDermott hasn’t been willing to name the winner just yet.

The challenge also is after the starters, the cornerback position is very inexperienced. They have Dane Jackson, who was competing with Wallace for that starting position, as well as Siran Neal as the primary backups.

While Neal has been with the team for a few seasons, he is primarily a special teams player while Jackson has only five career games. The Bills do have three cornerbacks on the practice squad, most notably Cam Lewis, but once again they don’t have much experience.

In a league where teams continue to utilize more spread offenses and more three and four wide receiver sets, depth at cornerback is becoming even more critical. If the Bills were to lose one of their starters, this could become a concern for this defense.
