Jake Fromm

Jake Fromm has been a polarizing player ever since the Buffalo Bills drafted him in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. At the time, the pick didn’t really make sense because they did have Josh Allen and it didn’t seem like a need.

Then for a full year fans didn’t get a chance to see Fromm play due to the pandemic and no preseason games. He remained a big question mark and when the Bills signed Mitchell Trubisky it was clear the franchise wasn’t confident in Fromm being the backup and being able to lead this offense if the need were to arise.

This preseason wasn’t perfect for Jake Fromm but he did show some good things, like the final drive against the Detroit Lions or his play against the Packers. He showed enough that the Buffalo Bills should be interested in adding him to their practice squad.

If given another year, and considering Mitchell Trubisky is almost guaranteed to be gone after the season, Fromm could become that backup for the Buffalo Bills.
