Tyrell Adams

One of those players that could benefit from having Star Lotulelei on the field is linebacker Tyrell Adams. This is actually Adams’ second stint with the Buffalo Bills as they claimed him off waivers in October of 2017. However, he was waived the next day after failing his physical.

He bounced around for a few years after that but found success this past season with the Houston Texans. He replaced Benardrick McKinney in the starting lineup after he suffered a season-ending injury. Adams would play well and finished just outside the Top 10 in total tackles with 125 in 12 starts.

When the Buffalo Bills lost Tremaine Edmunds and Matt Milano early in the season last year, the defense struggled. It is important for the team to find a backup they can trust to step in if the need were to arise.

This is a role that Tyrell Adams would seemingly be a great fit for but it will be interesting to see how he plays in Sean McDermott’s defense. He appears to have some ground to make up based on the first depth chart released by the team as he is fourth string at middle linebacker but could move up with his performance against the Detroit Lions.
