The next player is another rookie and this time it Kendrick Green, who was drafted in the third round. The center is expected to take over for long-time starter Maurkice Pouncey, who retired this offseason.

One of the biggest weaknesses of the Steelers is their offensive line, which is due in large part to them just being an unknown. There has been a lot of turnover this offseason and the team has elected to go with younger options, like Green. Mike Tomlin said on Wednesday that the rookie “will get a lot of opportunity to play”, according to Dale Lolley.

According to his scouting report on NFL.com, Green is a better run blocker than he is blocking for the pass. This is something that the Buffalo Bills should pay attention to close and if continues to struggle in this area during the preseason, it could mean players like Ed Oliver could get off to a fast start this season.
