Cole Beasley

2021 Cap Hit: $7,341,165

2022 Cap Hit: $7,600,000

2022 Cap Savings: $6,100,000

Putting aside some of the recent headlines around Cole Beasley, from a cap management and on-field production perspective, it would make sense that this is the final season for Cole Beasley.

This might be surprising considering the fact that Beasley is coming off a career year where he had  82 receptions, 967 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns in 15 games. If he didn’t suffer a leg injury against the Patriots in Week 16, he would have almost certainly surpassed 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his career.

However, Beasley is likely getting to the end of his career and will be 32 years old this season and 33 years old next season. His cap hit this year ranks 23rd among wide receivers and with a similar number next year, he will likely be close to a Top 20 wide receiver in that category.

When considering his age, the cap hit, along with the depth the team has at the position, the team’s starting slot receiver would need to match, or probably surpass, his production from last year for the Buffalo Bills to keep him on the roster in 2022.
