When the quarterback plays well, teams typically win playoff games. To this point, Allen has not given Bills fans any reason to believe he won’t show up in January. But if the Buffalo Bills desire to play for a Super Bowl crown, the games leading up to Super Sunday will require Allen’s three most consistent performances.

Allen has performed well in spurts this year– stringing together four games in September which resulted in him winning the AFC Offensive Player of the Month award, and later, solidifying his MVP-candidacy by winning his last four primetime games and bludgeoning the opposition.

The playoffs will provide Allen the opportunity to prove he remains in the top-tier quarterback conversation. Until then, national medial will continue creating flaws for the signal-caller until he’s proven himself capable of winning in the playoff games. He is critical to Buffalo’s success and will have to string together the best three-game stretch of his young career for a shot at a Lombardi Trophy.
