New England Patriots: Can the Buffalo Bills sweep the Patriots?

This was the season that would show if the Buffalo Bills could get past the New England Patriots, who dominated the division for nearly two decades. While the Patriots have struggled, they have shown some fight recently and have won four of their last five games, including recently a 45-0 rout over the Los Angeles Chargers.

For most of Tom Brady’s run with the Patriots, fans would be happy with just splitting the series with the Patriots. However, the Buffalo Bills already have beat the Patriots once this year and have a chance to sweep them when they travel to Gillette Stadium in Week 16.

Aside from the symbolism of the Bills sweeping the Patriots this year, this game is shaping up to be a key game in the division race, as well as for the Patriots hopes to make the playoffs. At 6-6, the Patriots really can’t afford to lose many games and will be playing their best football in this game.

However, if the Bills are able to come away with a win they should remain in the driver seat for the division heading into what could be the biggest game of the season.
