Brian Winters

The Buffalo Bills signed Brian Winters at the start of training camp when he was a surprise cut by the New York Jets. He was drafted in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Jets and would start 79 games in his first seven years in the league.

The Bills made sense as a logical landing spot because the team had just lost Jon Feliciano and need an experienced guard to step in. Winters has done a good job in that role and has started eight of the 10 games for the Buffalo Bills this season at right guard.

While it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Bills bring back Winters this offseason, he isn’t the offensive linemen that Brandon Beane has tried to add since taking over as general manager. The main reason is that he doesn’t provide any position flexibility. He has played almost exclusively right guard since entering the NFL and the team likes players who can step in at multiple positions.
