Bryan Cox Jr.

If the Buffalo Bills want to boost their pass rush, a player like Bryan Cox Jr. could be the answer to this group. The defensive ends have been a little underwhelming at times but recently have started to get pressure on the opposing quarterback.

The team has Jerry Hughes, Mario Addison, and Trent Murphy at the top of the depth chart but after that, there are some question marks. The hope was A.J. Epenesa could have been the answer, but he has struggled this year and is currently in the concussion protocol. The only other defensive end on the roster would be Darryl Johnson, who has played 14% of the defensive snaps this year.

As for Bryan Cox Jr., he has Carolina Panthers history but never played for McDermott since he joined the team in 2017, which was McDermott’s first year with Buffalo. While he has spent the year on the practice squad, he was active for one game, which came against the Kansas City Chiefs and he played 32% of the snaps.

It would make sense for the Bills to add Bryan Cox Jr. to the active roster if they want to manage the workload of some of the older veterans like Hughes and Addison.
