Marcus Maye

When the New York Jets traded away Jamal Adams, they turned to Marcus Maye to try and fill the void left by Adams’ absence. In the first week of Maye’s new role, he had a tremendous game and was the best player on the field for the Jets.

In Week 1 against the Bills, Maye finished with 10 total tackles, two sacks, two passes defended and one forced fumble.

However, Maye hasn’t found the same success in the weeks after that game and the coaching staff has shifted his responsibilities to be more of a deep safety. As Justin Fried of The Jet Press notes, this actually is a better fit for Maye’s skill set.

While the Buffalo Bills won’t be seeing Maye in the box, close to the line of scrimmage, Josh Allen needs to note where he is. If Allen loses Maye on the field, he very easily could end up throwing an interception or two.

In the end, this is absolutely a game the Buffalo Bills should win but if they can limit the impact of these three players they will see their chances go up even more.
