Linebackers

It was the second game back for Tremaine Edmunds and Matt Milano after missing Week 2 due to injury. Edmunds led the Bills in terms of tackles with 12 and Milano added six total tackles and one pass defended.

However, this week it seemed like the Bills were forced to play more three linebackers in a traditional 4-3 defense and the Raiders found success targeting A.J. Klein. The veteran linebacker struggled in particular in pass protection.

This is something worth monitoring in the coming weeks if the Bills continue to use Klein in this role or maybe use Tyrel Dodson more when needing three linebackers on the field.

Secondary

It may be time to sound the alarms for the Buffalo Bills secondary. For the third straight game, the Bills have allowed over 300 passing yards and the Raiders were able to do it without their two starting wide receivers.

One area in particular has to be the nickel position as teams have continued to utilize their slot receiver and found success. This week, Hunter Renfrow would finish the game with five receptions for 57 yards and was the team’s second-highest pass catcher.

This game also was the official debut for Josh Norman with the Buffalo Bills and after being on injured reserve for three weeks, the first game was certainly promising. He made a particularly key play in the fourth quarter when he forced a fumble on Darren Waller.
