Week 1: New York Jets at Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills will open the 2020 season at home against the New York Jets, which was where they finished the 2019 regular season against the same opponent. The Jets ended up taking the win there but that was also a game that the Bills rested a majority of their starters in preparation of their playoff game against the Houston Texans.

In the two games the Bills played the Jets last year, the margin of victory was less seven points or fewer. However, this year considering the Jets are dealing with a number of injuries on their offense and without Jamal Adams and C.J. Mosley on defense, this should be a game the Buffalo Bills should run away with.

Prediction: Win (1-0)

Week 2: Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins

In Week 2, the Buffalo Bills hit the road but stay within the division as they head south to face the Miami Dolphins. This offseason the Dolphins were one of the busiest and were big spenders in free agency by bringing in players like Byron Jones, Shaq Lawson, and Kyle Van Noy.

They also had a number of draft picks, three in the first round alone, and selected players like Tua Tagovailoa, Austin Jackson, and Noah Igbinoghene. The Dolphins did elect to stay with the veteran at quarterback though and the Bills will face their former starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.

The presence of the veteran should be enough to keep it close but the Buffalo Bills have fewer new additions and that should be the edge to secure a win.

Prediction: Win (2-0)
