Addition: Rasul Douglas

Release: Isaiah McKenzie

As noted previously, the cornerback position is a big concern for the Buffalo Bills because of the injuries to Levi Wallace and Josh Norman. Even if they are both healthy, it would make sense to bring in a little more depth at the position just in case.

Rasul Douglas is a player that could make a lot of sense for the Buffalo Bills.

Douglas was a third round pick by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2017 NFL Draft and over the past three seasons has started 18 games for them. He has 118 total tackles, five interceptions, and 25 passes defended.

The scouting report by Eliot Shorr-Parks at NJ.com describes a player that seems to be a perfect fit for the Bills. He is a playmaker, has big size, and has plenty of experience in zone defenses from his time at West Virginia University.

As for the reason the Buffalo Bills release Isaiah McKenzie is if they are bringing back Andre Roberts they will have seven wide receivers. There isn’t much that McKenzie offers to this offense that isn’t found with the other wide receivers. It makes sense for the team to keep six cornerbacks rather than seven wide receivers.
