Josh Allen’s rushing touchdowns

Since Josh Allen has become the starting quarterback he has been one of the league leaders in rushing touchdowns with 17 total rushing touchdowns over the past two years. However, those numbers could see a potential decrease in 2020.

According to Michelle Magdziuk, four of the nine rushing touchdowns came after Frank Gore had at least one rushing attempt.

As Magdziuk notes, it doesn’t sound like Josh Allen is their first option close to the goal lines. The fact that Gore had two or more chances on three of those chances showed the coaching staff really tried to get the running back the touchdown prior to turning to Allen.

The Bills appear to have gotten a running back that can be that power back near the goal line in Zack Moss. If Moss plays the way the coaching staff envisions, it would not be surprising to see Josh Allen’s rushing touchdowns drop significantly this coming season and this wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing.
