Vincent Taylor

The player that benefits the most from Star Lotulelei sitting out this upcoming season is probably Vincent Taylor. The former Miami Dolphins defensive tackle was drafted in the sixth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He would go on to play 21 games over his first two years with the team however both seasons ended with him on injured reserve.

He was waived last offseason and the Buffalo Bills added him to their practice squad, where he spent the first part of the year. However, he did end up playing three games for the team last year, recording six tackles over that stretch.

Entering training camp, with the depth the team had at the position, there didn’t seem like there was a spot for him on the 53-man roster. However, he now looks to have a good shot to not only make the roster but push for the starting job.

He is by far their biggest defensive tackle at 330 pounds and can be that run-stuffing type defensive tackle that Star Lotulelei was. The biggest question has to be durability considering his injury history but if Harrison Phillips is not fully recovered, the Buffalo Bills could turn to Vincent Taylor this coming season.
