Offseason Moves

Key Additions: Byron Jones, Kyle Van Noy, Shaq Lawson, Erek Flowers, Jordan Howard, Matt Breida, Tua Tagovailoa, Austin Jackson, Noah Igbinoghene

Key Losses: None

The Miami Dolphins big splash this offseason was the signing of cornerback Byron Jones, who was signed to a five-year, $82.5 million contract, and now joins Xavien Howard in the Dolphins secondary. These are two talented cornerbacks that should help solidify their pass defense.

Jones joins Kyle Van Noy, Shaq Lawson and first round pick Noah Igbinoghene in a re-tooled defense for the Dolphins this year. Last year, the Dolphins were near the bottom in the league in total yards allowed. However, the moves made should make this group much better this coming year.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Dolphins big move was the selection of Tua Tagovailoa with the fifth overall pick. While the former Alabama quarterback is the future, it remains to be seen if he will surpass Ryan Fitzpatrick on the depth chart for this year.

The more immediate impact to this offense could be the additions of Jordan Howard and Matt Breida as the two running backs now gives the Dolphins a talented rushing attack.
