Duke Williams

Duke Williams has a similar story to Robert Foster in that he came on late at the end of the season but the question is will that momentum carry over into 2020?

Williams was a former Auburn wide receiver who struggled to find a spot in the NFL. He elected to go play in the CFL where he earned All-Star honors in 2018. The Bills signed Williams last offseason and it wasn’t until late that he saw an increase in playing time.

While the Bills rested their starters in Week 17, it gave Williams a chance to showcase his skills and he finished with six receptions for 108 receiving yards. That performance carried over into the playoff game against the Houston Texans when he had 10 targets but only caught four of them for 49 yards.

Williams probably had a better chance to make the roster prior to the additions of Isaiah Hodgins and Gabriel Davis because he was the team’s biggest wide receiver at 6’3″ and 225 pounds. It will be interesting to see how much confidence the coaching staff has in him leading up to the season and if he will have a chance to keep a role in this offense based on how last season finished.
