Bills wanted to add physicality to the roster

The first thing that really stands out when looking at the Buffalo Bills, especially the first three selections, is that this team wanted to add a level of physicality to this roster. The additions of A.J. Epenesa, Zack Moss and Gabriel Davis certainly achieves that.

Epenesa is a big defensive end at 6’6″ and 280 pounds that brings a tremendous amount of power to the position. He may not be the fastest guy to the quarterback but he is a strong end that can set the edge and will be a force against the run. This video of Epenesa training with his younger brother shows the power he has in his hands.

The next player the Bills selected was running back Zack Moss out of Utah. He is a powerful back with a low center of gravity at 5’9″ but is a wrecking ball at 223 pounds. He is one that doesn’t shy away from contact and Sal Capaccio asked Moss how he describes his running style and had one of the best answers when said he likes “making defenders make business decisions.”

Then on Day 3 the Buffalo Bills wasted no time adding size to the wide receiver position with the selection of Gabriel Davis, who is 6’2″ and 216 pounds. Jon Scott tweeted that Davis said he never wants just one player to bring him down.

This type of physicality and toughness will be a welcomed addition to the Buffalo Bills this year.
