The Buffalo Bills could use some youth at the defensive end position and there is no better pass rusher available than A.J. Epenesa out of Iowa. He is arguably the most well rounded at the position as he has shown to be effective against the run as well as an ability to get after the quarterback.
Epenesa was a key part of the Hawkeyes defense the past three years and had 26.5 sacks to go along with 36 tackles for a loss.
If the Buffalo Bills were to draft Epenesa he should be able to compete for playing time as a rookie. The addition of Epenesa would actually be able to allow the Bills to cut Trent Murphy, saving over $8 million in cap, and not have a drop in production.
If A.J. Epenesa is still on the board when the Bills are on the clock, this is a player they can’t afford to pass up.
