Round 5: Antonio Gandy-Golden

This is where NFL teams really start to show the strength of their scouting department. At this point in the NFL Draft, there is alot more in terms of projections and trying to find the key characteristics that are going to make them successful. The challenging part is that these aren’t always easily noticeable.

A player like Antonio Gandy-Golden is a perfect example. The Liberty wide receiver was very productive in his two seasons there with 150 receptions, 2,433 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns. He would regularly make highlight reel catches and has the physical size the Bills would be looking for at 6’4″.

The question is did Gandy-Golden look this good playing against lower level competition and can he still produce like this at the NFL. The Buffalo Bills present a great opportunity here that would allow him to learn the game and be utilized in those jump ball situations or in the red zone, which is really his strength.

At this point in the NFL Draft, a gamble on Antonio Gandy-Golden would be worth the risk.
