2019 Season

After missing the playoffs in 2018 with a record of 6-10, the Beane continued to be dissatisfied with his offense, bringing in more pieces to help his young quarterback.

Starting with signing veteran running back Frank Gore, followed by bringing in Cole Beasley and John Brown. Let’s also not forget about the signing of preseason phenom Duke Williams, who would appear in four games.

Both Beasley and Brown were coming off 600+ receiving seasons and gave Allen a deep threat in Brown and a third-down target in Beasley showed that the general manager’s processes were in full motion.

Later on in the offseason, Beane bolstered his running game with the selection of two offensive pieces that would go on to have impressive rookie years: offensive tackle Cody Ford and running back Devin Singletary. Beane later selected tight end Dawson Knox, addressing a position many analysts thought would be looked at in the first round.

The 2019 Buffalo Bills have been one of the better teams in recent memory. Accumulating national attention early on in the season due to their 5-1 start after going toe-to-toe with the New England Patriots in a 16-10 loss.

The Bills would go on to show not only that were they for real this season, but they had some serious weapons.

Brown surpassed the thousand-yard receiving mark for the second time in his career, with a career-high 1,061 yards while Beasley has his second-best season with 771 yards and a career-best six touchdowns.

The Bills 10-6 record would clinch them a Wild Card birth against the Houston Texans. In an uncharacteristic game for them, the offense was non-existent as they failed to put points on the board, even with added time.
