Round 5, Pick 137: Jaylon Johnson, CB (Utah)

This might be a little low for Jaylon Johnson, but to separate himself from other corners he would have had to run a better 40 time. He clocked in at 4.50 which is by no means slow, however teams will be looking at the 40 times for defensive backs more than any other position. He’ll have another chance at his Pro Day to improve his stock, but in this mock draft he just so happened to fall into the fifth round and right into the Bills’ lap.

Jaylon Johnson had an okay 2019 season where he put up 36 total tackles and 2 interceptions. He lacks the size to really contest many passes, which will also hurt his stock. He can easily slide into the nickel role or just be more of a depth player for the Bills as he refines his technique and gets better. Jaylon Johnson can turn into the number two cornerback for the Bills in a few years, and wreak havoc with Tre’Davious White.
