Devontae Booker

The story of Devontae Booker’s career is certainly an interesting one. He was expected to be the future for the Broncos at the running back position after running for 612 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns in his rookie season.

However, since then he has been almost non-existent within the Broncos offense and this past year he only had two rushing attempts, six receptions and 66 total yards.

Booker is only 27 years of age and bringing a player in like Booker is a low-risk, high-reward type signing the Bills have benefited from in recent years. He has shown he can be successful at this level, both carrying the ball as well as a pass catcher out of the backfield. He also has experience as a returner with 29 career kickoff returns and could be a good backup to Andre Roberts.

This type of versatility and what would likely amount to close to a league minimum contract is certainly worth the gamble for the Bills to address the backup role to Devin Singletary.
