Free Agency Options

If the front office feels the need to bring in another running back to add to this depth chart, they will have plenty of options. The direction they take will be determined by their decisions on Gore and Wade, as well as how they view Devin Singletary.

If he is viewed as a featured back, a running back that can touch the ball 20-25 times a game then they would likely consider a complimentary back to Singletary. Based on how this front office has used free agency in the past, they would target players who have shown flashes but haven’t reached their full potential. That list could include players like Gus Edwards with the Baltimore Ravens, Devonate Booker with the Denver Broncos or DeAndre Washington with the Oakland Raiders.

However, if the belief is that for Singletary to be most effective he would need to share the workload then there are plenty of high profile running backs that will be available. That list includes players like Melvin Gordon, Derrick Henry, or even Kareem Hunt.

If free agency is route the Buffalo Bills go, they most likely would look for a high upside guy like Gus Edwards or DeAndre Washington before breaking the bank with Melvin Gordon or Derrick Henry.
