Secondary

The Bills’ secondary once again showed why they are one of the best in the NFL. They held Sam Darnold to only 175 passing yards and he needed 41 pass attempts to get there. Meanwhile, the Jets had no one break the 100 yard receiving mark and only one player, Jamison Crowder, have more than 50. However, Crowder needed to catch the ball 14 times to get to 99 receiving yards.

These kind of numbers speaks to the fact that when Jets’ receivers were catching the ball, they weren’t picking up much YAC or yards after the catch. Players like Tre’Davious White, Levi Wallace, Jordan Poyer, Micah Hyde and Siran Neal were doing a good job keeping their match up in front of them and tackling almost as soon as they caught the ball.

The only thing that could have bumped this grade up to an A+ would have been if they could have forced an interception by Sam Darnold.
