Running Backs

Similar to Josh Allen, it wasn’t until the fourth quarter that the running backs really got involved and were productive. In the first half, the Bills running backs had as many touches (4) as Josh Allen had turnovers.

While Frank Gore got most of the carries (11) he was far from productive with only 20 rushing yards. However, some of those carries came late in the game as the Bills tried to run down the clock.

The star in this group was Devin Singletary, who had four carries for 70 yards with 50 of them coming on the Bills’ first touchdown drive. The explosiveness and big play ability he showed on that drive has to have fans excited about what he can do this year.

It would not be surprising if Gore continues to struggle to pick up yards, that the workload shifts to the rookie.
