Quarterback

Josh Allen, Matt Barkley

Cut: Tyree Jackson

The quarterback position is one of those that is clearly defined as the Bills will go into the season with Josh Allen and Matt Barkley on the roster. This means that undrafted rookie Tyree Jackson will likely be cut, but the team can try to bring him back on the practice squad.

The play of Barkley has actually been a bright spot for this team and is one of the reasons the team should feel confident with only two quarterbacks on the roster. Through two preseason games, Barkley is 17 of 24 for 236 with two touchdowns and no interceptions.

There is no reason for the coaching staff not to feel confident if the need ever arose for Matt Barkley to step under center during the regular season.
