Kevin Johnson

It appears that Levi Wallace is the favorite to be the starting cornerback opposite Tre’Davious White this season. However, the focus for the Bills should be making sure they have depth at the position.

They already lost EJ Gaines for what was described ‘as a few weeks’ due to a groin injury. This is certainly concerning and is a major hit to the depth if this lingers into the regular season.

This leaves Kevin Johnson as the only veteran cornerback on the roster. The former first round pick has had his own injury issues earlier in his career but when he has been on the field, he has played well.

He missed almost the entire 2018 season due to a concussion and this will be his first live game action in almost a year. He will need to show he can still play at a high level to earn a spot on this roster. A strong game against the Colts will certainly help his case.
