Dawson Knox will leave camp as the starting TE

The Buffalo Bills saw the tight end position take a significant hit during OTAs when free agent signee Tyler Kroft go down with a broken foot. This however opened the door for third round pick Dawson Knox to emerge as a potential surprise this season.

The former Ole Miss Rebel looked good during OTAs and with Kroft still recovering, should enter training camp as the starter. However, even when Kroft returns, he will likely be in a reserve role behind the rookie.

At 6’4″ and 254 pounds, Knox is a big target in the middle of the field for Josh Allen but also has good speed for a tight end and can help stretch defenses as well. These reps early on with Allen should help him build a relationship with the second-year quarterback that will carry over into the season.
