While Baker Mayfield didn’t stand out in Saturday’s game — he only played two series and didn’t have many opportunities to shine — the Oklahoma quarterback had a stellar week.
After a slow start on Tuesday — can you blame him, though? — Mayfield made big strides Wednesday and Thursday — especially under center.
But the place where Mayfield won the week was after the whistles. The likely first-round selection was a leader in the huddle and during drills.
He made sure he was the first one in line, sprinting to stations in-between reps, and was pumping his teammates up in the huddle and after they made plays.

Mayfield just has the “it” factor.
Oh, and he reportedly met with the Bills extensively, according to Sports Illustrated’s Robert Klemko.
Good stuff right here from @RobertKlemko on @baker_mayfield6's week in Mobile (He met extensively with the Jets, Saints, Bills and Dolphins). https://t.co/tidLpdmlLk

Mayfield likely would require as substantial of a trade that Sam Darnold or Josh Rosen would, making him an intriguing name to watch the next few months.
