It’s certainly still very early in the draft season but it’s never too early for a mock draft! Here’s my second crack at one, and my first one post-Senior Bowl. (To see my first, click here.)Also be sure to check out a different take on the Mock Draft from BLD’s own Andrew here.

1. Indianapolis Colts
Andrew Luck – QB, Stanford
This is the pick and Peyton Manning is history. Let’s hope he’s not going to Miami or the Jets.

2. St. Louis Rams
Matt Kalil – OT, USC
I still think the Rams trade here, but if not Kalil is probably the closest thing to a “can’t miss” prospect possible. Gives the Rams a chance to replace the disappointing 2009 #2 pick Jason Smith at LT.

3. Minnesota Vikings
Riley Reiff – OT, Iowa
Freaking out with Kalil gone, the Vikings reach for Reiff. He’s good, but not sure he’s a value at #3.

4. Cleveland Browns
Robert Griffin III – QB, Baylor
And without even trading up, the Browns nab their next QB at #4.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Trent Richardson – RB, Alabama
If I were the Bucs, I’d take Morris Claiborne, but Richardson is an absurd talent. He’s going to be a star.

At the Buffalo Bills end of the season press conference GM Buddy Nix stated that he felt that even if the Buffalo Bills were able to come to terms on a new contract with unrestricted FA Stevie Johnson that the Bills still needed another big play receiver. One that was “open even when he wasn’t open” Buddy Nix stated. After reviewing what receivers were going to possibly be available on the open market one of the WR’s that really stuck out to me was Vincent Jackson as he has a history with Nix. After a report surfaced from the San Diego Union-Tribune that Jackson was likely to test the open market I began to look at the relationship with the Bills GM and Jackson as well as the possibility of him being a target of the Bills. … [visit site to read more]
