Marcell Dareus is always giving back to his community and that will continue this Christmas.

Buffalo Bills‘ defensive tackle Marcell Dareus is always in the holiday spirit and loves to give back to the community that shows him love. We saw him giving back on Halloween and giving big on Thanksgiving, but he’s back with more love in time for Christmas.

He decided to make his Christmas Party with Marcell Dareus — something he started last year — an annual gathering and announced that he is teaming up with YMCA Buffalo Niagara and NORSTAR to host the Christmas Party for children in the community.

The party will be from 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm on Friday, December 23rd at the William-Emslie Family YMCA and will provide “150 children and their families with a special holiday celebration,” one source said. Marcell Dareus will be providing gifts for the children.

"“This is an annual event for me now and I’m happy to be giving back to Buffalo, a community I now consider my second home,” said Dareus. “I remember growing up and we went to places like the YMCA to receive a Christmas gift too. I’m grateful for those who looked out for me and my siblings. Now I’m more than happy to make it possible for lots of other less fortunate kids in the city to experience the same joy. I know it makes a difference and brings a brighter Christmas for them too.”"

The star defensive tackle for the Buffalo Bills is definitely making it a fun-filled day for the kids, who will get to enjoy music, holiday crafts, a bounce house, refreshments and even get to meet some of Dareus’ teammates on the Bills — although those players weren’t named.

We know when Marcell Dareus gives back, it’s always in a big way. Does Mr. Big Stuff sound appropriate?

"“This event gives us an opportunity to make the holidays memorable for children and families who are underserved in our community,” said Danielle Roberts, William-Emslie Family YMCA Executive Director. “We look forward to hosting these families who otherwise would not be able to celebrate the Christmas holiday.”"

Marcell Dareus is doing a great thing with the YMCA and I’m happy he is bringing some of his teammates into this great event. It shows how connected this fanbase is to the Buffalo Bills and it’s definitely amazing to be a part of said fanbase.

Dareus and the rest of the Buffalo Bills will have to get to bed early that night, though, because they have a big game the next day at 1:00 pm. Luckily it’s a home game and the Bills usually do well against the Dolphins in Buffalo.

Sitting at 7-7, the team is trying to get to a 9-7 record this season — which could potentially squeeze them into the playoffs. Either way, it would be an improvement from last year and something to be happy about after a rocky season.

Let’s hope Dareus builds up a lot of good karma this week. He got lucky with guaranteeing a win vs. the Browns — and it being true — so his Christmas Party should put him in a good spot vs. the Dolphins.
