In the playoffs this week, you should start Buffalo Bills defense in fantasy football if they’re on your roster.

Earlier this season the Buffalo Bills were one of the top fantasy football defenses to have. In their first six games of the season, they only gave up more than 20 points once. Since then they have fallen back and are now ranked the 14th best scoring defense in yahoo leagues. They’ve been porous against the run recently, and they’ve been giving up way to many points.

They would be further back in the rankings if they didn’t have the sixth-most sacks in the league along with three defensive touchdowns, 11 intereceptions and six fumbles recovered. Luckily for the Bills they face the Cleveland Browns this week which is the perfect recipe to get things back on track.

The Browns have not reached 30 points yet this year on offense and they’ve scored more than 20 points just three times this season. Five times their offense has been held to 10 points or less. The last five weeks they’ve been no different with their highest point total in that span being just 13 points.

The Buffalo defense has a terrific matchup and deserves serious consideration for a start in the fantasy playoffs. Unless you have a top five defense with a good matchup I’d certainly be playing them this week if they were on my roster.

The Browns defense, on the other hand, is pretty obvious. The team is 0-13 and they give up an average of 28.8 points per game. If you’re thinking about starting their defense this week, I’d recommend you call your doctor first to make sure you are ok in the head. Then worry about the rest of your fantasy team.

Buffalo’s defense should play inspired today for their coach Rex Ryan who is reportedly on the hot seat. Rex couldn’t have gotten a better early Christmas present with the Browns. If you have the Bills defense on your fantasy team, give them a start this week.
